Rollaine Lea Marie Nuez
Rollaine Lea Marie Nuez started dancing at the age of six at Balletcenter. She advanced through the levels and was accepted into the teacher training program. In 2007, she graduated from the program and began teaching for Balletcenter. Highly popular with her students, she eagerly shares her knowledge and lends her own special touch to classes, rehearsals, and choreography. In addition, she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics and Literature as a graduate of the University of San Carlos.
Ms. Nuez graces the stage as a Cebuana ballerina. She danced her first lead role in May 2007 as Alice in Artistic Director Gregory Aaron’s Philippine premiere of "Alice in Wonderland”. She has danced an eclectic array of soloist and principal roles in ballets such as Tchaikovsky, Beauty and the Beast, Carmina Burana, Outcast, Symphony in C, Broadway and Beyond, Galaxy, and Sing! Sing! Sing!. A dramatic ballerina audiences will remember her dancing the mesmerizing Arabian and the Dewdrop Fairy in The Nutcracker, Princess Ariel in the Little Mermaid, a Concubine and Lady Capulet in Nicolas Pacana’s Philippine premiere of Romeo and Juliet, and a Big Swan and Odile, the Black Swan, in Nicolas Pacana’s Philippine premiere of Swan Lake. |
